A First-Floor Room Close to the Garden

 

Kiku-no-Ma is a first-floor guest room facing both the inner garden and rear garden.

The room retains the traditional layout of two adjoining 8-tatami rooms, allowing you to experience the distinctive fittings of a machiya and its close connection with the gardens.

With the gardens just outside the room, you can enjoy the changing seasons up close and spend your time in a peaceful, unhurried atmosphere.

 

The room is secured with an interior lock and a simple exterior lock.

A private toilet is provided on the first floor. The bathroom is shared.

As this is a traditional wooden building, sounds such as footsteps from the floor above may sometimes be audible.
