To provide our guests with a peaceful and relaxing stay, Hanaya welcomes a maximum of two guest parties per day.

 

The first-floor and second-floor rooms are available at the same rate.

Our rates are per person, not per room.

 

Hanaya is a historic Kyoto machiya townhouse, and therefore does not have the same level of sound insulation as a modern hotel.

Sound can carry easily through the traditional structure.

To ensure that all guests can enjoy their stay comfortably, we kindly ask you to be considerate of noise and voices, particularly during quiet hours.

 

For structural reasons, smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the building or on the property.

 

We kindly ask all guests to understand these guidelines and help us maintain a peaceful atmosphere for everyone.

Hanaya is especially suited to guests who wish to slow down and enjoy the quiet atmosphere of a traditional Kyoto machiya.

• Accommodation: ¥24,000 × 2 guests

• Breakfast: +¥1,500 per person

• Shōkadō bento dinner: +¥6,000 per person

• Kaiseki dinner　　　　: +¥8,000 per person

 

If you would like to add meals, please make your reservation at least two days in advance.

Additional Charges & Discounts

Single occupancy: 1.5 times the standard rate

Single occupancy may not be available during peak periods.

 

Long-stay discount:

• From the second night: ¥1,000 off per person

• From the fourth night: ¥2,000 off per person

Booking Conditions

• Exclusive use of the entire inn is available for parties of 4 or more.

• If you would like to reserve the entire inn for 3 guests or fewer, the charge for 4 guests will apply.

• We do not accommodate children of elementary school age or younger.

• We do not accommodate stays by minors traveling without an adult.

Reservations

• Reservations can be made up to 5 months in advance.

• Reservations are accepted on a request basis. We will review your request and contact you with a confirmation.

Cancellation Policy

• 7–2 days before arrival: 20%

• 1 day before arrival: 50%

• On the day of arrival: 100%

Other Information

• All displayed prices include consumption tax and service charges.

• An accommodation tax of ¥1,000 per person per night is charged separately.

• Hanaya is closed during the New Year holiday period.
