A Second-Floor Room Overlooking the Gardens

 

Ume-no-Ma is a second-floor guest room consisting of two adjoining 8-tatami rooms.

From the room, you can look down over both the inner garden and rear garden. You can also see the traditional white plaster wall of the kura storehouse at the back of the property.

Enjoy the machiya’s architecture and garden views from a different perspective than the first-floor Kiku-no-Ma.

 

The room is secured with an interior lock and a simple exterior lock.

A private shower room, toilet, and washbasin are provided for guests staying in Ume-no-Ma.

The bathroom is shared.
